2014 was a very interesting year as loads of beauty trends popped in. Some predictions have been made for beauty trends to look out for in 2015 after witnessing runway shows, looking through Instagram accounts, and watching from celebrities on the red carpet.
This year’s favourite natural moisturiser, coconut oil, will come in handy to prep skin for a healthy look. From dewy skin to haircuts , here are the trends to watch for in 2015. I hope you are as excited as I am:D
The Nude Face
Sometimes natural is best, and next summer the emphasis on natural beauty is a key. Highlight one feature, or just your overall natural glow and you’ll certainly make a statement. The most frequent heard words in terms or beauty and fashion were “natural”, “minimal”, and “real” – from the concealer-only look at Lagos Fashion and Design week to the wash-and-go hair at New York fashion week. The whole ‘no make-up’ make-up trend has seriously upped its game as everyone is going for a real glow.
Next season is going to be about working with what you’ve got so get ready to embrace your natural brow. Brush them up and keep them groomed like Cara Delevinge’s
The Anti Cat-Eye
We all love a cat eye but in 2015 we’ll see more of the graphic eyeliner. Black eyeliner never goes out of style, but the way to wear it for spring/summer 2015 is from the middle of the eyes extended past the outer corners, as at Céline and not as a retro cat-eye – keep the line straight and strong for a truly graphic effect.
Fresh, dewy skin was a staple on this years runway. No more heavily-powdered matte skin , complexions were decidedly dewy at the likes with lipgloss used on the lids to reflect light at Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2014. Bronzed skin is going to be a must have for spring summer 2015.
Iamisigo made a statement gold line inspired by the fulanis during the Lagos Fashion and Design 2015 show. While this look isn’t for everyone, we think there will be a lot more metallic eyeliner and mascara in our future especially on the runway.
Whether you’re using it as a makeup remover as seen in House of Tara makeup remover or a hair mask, coconut oil is a serious beauty staple. We expect to see coconut-based products in every beauty store aisle. Also the market for all natural, chemical free products expanded in 2014.
