My old friend is now a photographer so naturally I was really excited when he said he wanted to photograph me. So I started to get ready, got make up done, dressed up and walked to my usual blogging spot. He stops me and says “Hell no, we are shooting on the Lekki/Ikoyi bridge”. If you’re not familiar with the bridge, it’s a busy bridge, not the busiest in Lagos but at certain times it’s really busy. I agreed anyway hoping that we’d catch the bridge at a time when it wasn’t so busy. Lies.

Just my luck that the day I wanna shoot on the bridge there’s major traffic. So EVERYONE was staring at me in true Lagosian fashion, I was cringing so hard with every pose.  At some point he asked me to take off my shoes, which I eventually did after a great deal of hesitation. He really pushed me out of my comfort zone but I trusted his judgement because I’ve seen his work and I love it. Good thing I did too because the pictures turned out great.
