This post is one month late. I am super excited to review a few products I received from Taos ( Tah- Os) Cosmetics. Taos cosmetics reached out to me a couple of months ago.
Taos cosmetics is a growing brand that identifies with all Women of Colour. One of the amazing things is that their Products are all made with love and natural botanical ingredients that would be good enough for sensitive skin. I must say our meeting was so exciting the moment I tried on the shadows on my hand I said to her ” I’m must say I am very impressed”.
I noticed that Taos Eyeshadows had one consistent thing “Highly Pigmented” . This for me is a good thing because pigmented eyeshadows pop more, last longer and easier to blend. However, for someone who does not like heavy makeup I advise to apply lightly or use their matte eyeshadows.
L – R :mint julip, dirty Love, blow dry, black star, pink slip, complicated
Mint Julip: This is a satin shadow and of course just like the name it has a highly intense mint colour.
Dirty Love: This is a matte purple eyeshadow that can be used as a contour colour on the outer V area or all over the eyelid.
Blow Dry: This is close to MAC’s amber lights. It is a beautiful metallic shade that can be used to create a bridal look.
Black Star: This is a nice black matte eyeshadow with glitters. This would totally work for a girls night out look. The glitters make it so fab.
Pink Slip: This is perfect as a transition colour for the crease. It has pink/red undertone and blends out evenly.
Complicated: This is a army green satin eyeshadow. I totally see this eyeshadow used to create a smokey eye look.
Plum Princess: This blush is a nice plum blush, it looks amazing on dark skin. Be careful not to pack on so much as it is highly intense.
Hot & Spicy
This is the darker highlighter which can be used on both light and dark skin tones. On lighter skin it has this dark brown which can serve as a contour while on darker skin tone it looks bronzy. I absolutely love these as you can tell from the photo I have been using them.
I have been using this to highlight the nose bridge, cheeks and lightly on the forehead area.
Barely Naked Lipgloss
Barely Naked lipgloss is so lush. It is a nude lipgloss one can wear with no lipstick on a daily basis.
